Last weekend Sherrie and I were able to stay at the cabins. Although we had a lot of work to do we enjoyed being there. The HOPs are growing well and I am excited that the Neo-mexicana Hops are doing well. The Nugget, Zeus and Amalia are close to harvesting, which has surprised me this year.
I used a product called GREEN CURE and sprayed each plant. GREEN CURE combats Downy Mildew which I was beginning to see. Well.... I made a quick trip to the property a few days later and it seems that the Neo-Mexicana Hops do not care for that product. The leaves had yellowed and looked like the spray had burned the plant. Lesson learned I guess. I will be up this week to harvest the Nugget, Zeus and Amalia, and will be making calls to local breweries for their interest.
