Made a mad dash to the cabins to harvest our AMALIA hops and check on the cabins.
The AMALIA cones were at their peak and would have been dust if I had let it go another few days.
Of the 10 plants I have, 3 were harvested and they were loaded. They are a crazy weed that does not like water but loves the sun! I brought about a pound of Hops back from 4 plants. I made a Oaster laster year to dry the hops and fired it up last night. Sherrie vacuum sealed them in a bag and they are in the fridge. These are going to Angry Troll in Elkin. Louis will be the first brewer to use Amalia in this area that I am aware of. I am very excited to see how that brew turns out.
